If elected to the U.S. Senate, Former Governor Ronnie Musgrove says his priority is the nation's pocketbook.
"Number one, we've just got to say no to this out of control spending."
Musgrove, a fiscal-conservative democrat, says once the budget is under control, the country will see start seeing improvements in other areas.
"If we get our spending in order, that will help with the valuation of the dollar. It will help us take some of the speculation away on the price of a barrel of oil. A lot of the speculation is what's run up the price of a barrel of oil."
