A new poll, conducted May 15th through 18th for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC), shows Roger Wicker trailing former Governor Ronnie Musgrove by eight points in the race for US Senate in Mississippi. This news comes just one week after Democrats picked up Roger Wicker's former U.S. house district in Northern Mississippi.
In a statement on Tuesday, DSCC spokesman Matt Miller said that "last week, Mississippi voters showed they are tired of business as usual in Washington and ready for a change, and this poll shows that they are ready for a new Senator to replace Roger Wicker" (Roll Call, 5/20/08).
