Musgrove Campaigns Along Gulf Coast

OCEAN SPRINGS -- U.S. Senate candidate Ronnie Musgrove wants to reduce "out-of-control spending" by Congress, bring fuel prices down, give young Mississippians more job opportunities, and resolve the coast's insurance crisis, he said Tuesday while campaigning on the Gulf Coast.

Musgrove, a Democrat who will face interim Republican Sen. Roger Wicker in a special November election to fill the final four years of resigned Republican Trent Lott's unexpired term, brought his campaign to Poplarville, Bay St. Louis, Ocean Springs and Pascagoula.


"This is a very sad time," the former governor told community members, local business leaders and city officials at a Phoenicia Gourmet Restaurant luncheon in downtown Ocean Springs. "People in America are hurting. We have to get a handle on a broken Washington."
