Wicker has more than $275,000 in illegal contributions that he cannot spend in his account
Jackson, MS- Interim Senator Roger Wicker has violated another federal election law and the Musgrove campaign today filed a complaint with the Federal Elections Commission.
The FEC complaint is in reaction to Wicker's campaign finance filings which show that he has taken $209,100 in illegal, excessive campaign contributions that he must re-designate or return in order to comply with the law.
That money, combined with additional excessive contributions and other illegal contributions noted in a previously filed complaint means Roger Wicker has more than $275,000 cash on hand that he cannot spend and must return or re-designate.
"Roger Wicker has used every legal and illegal dirty trick in the book to save his desperate, failing campaign. It is time he comes clean. He should return and re-designate the money, and he had better not spend it illegally on this race," Tim Phillips, Musgrove for Senate campaign manager said. "We are filing an FEC complaint, though we all know the FEC is slow to react, but Wicker's illegal money will be judged in the court of public opinion."
